Leaping Through Fear: The Joy of Starting Something New

The past week has been one of new beginnings for me as I finally launched my monthly talk & meditation class yesterday evening.

It’s something I’ve wanted to do for some time, but something kept holding me back – fear.

Fear of not being good enough.

Fear of not having anything of value to offer.

Fear of no one turning up.

The preparation took me weeks.

Weeks of trying to find a venue that could accommodate a Sunday evening class that was both affordable and conveniently located.

Weeks of agonising the choice of date and time (I still don’t know if I’ve got that right).

Weeks of painstakingly purchasing treasured items for the meditation table.

And yesterday it all finally came together in a beautiful space.

My heart is full of gratitude and joy to finally see this come to life.

And I’ve been reminded, yet again, of how important it is to push through the resistance and the fear to find the growth and joy on the other side.

That sometimes we need to trust, stand on the edge of the precipice, and jump!

Have you done anything recently that scared you? I’d love to hear your story.

Wishing you a week of overcoming fears and finding your joy.

Celia
